Leave the water where it belongs and don't lug it home in your clothes :) The quick-dry fabric cannot store much water and is therefore superior to a cotton shirt in the water!  You hardly weigh anything and the quick drying process means fewer bacteria can develop. 
 In summer  without a wetsuit, the shirt is an excellent base layer against the wind. Nevertheless, the breathable  Functional fabric pleasant and airy on the skin.
