Leave the water where it belongs and don't take it home in your clothes :) The quick-dry fabric cannot store much water and is therefore superior to a cotton shirt! You have less weight when wet and the quick drying means that fewer bacteria can develop. In colder weather, the shirt is an excellent base layer and the stretchy material gives you good freedom of movement. In summer the shirt also offers you UV protection from the sun.
